Darryl grew up in Gainesville, Florida but has lived and worked in the Midwest for many years. The summer after graduating from Gainesville High School in 1970 he attended Santa Fe College and became one of the first licensed Paramedics in the State of Florida. While working for Alachua County Ambulance Service, he attended the University of Florida and obtained Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Occupational Therapy. In the early years he managed the therapy staff for a spinal cord rehabilitation facility. He also managed a Heart Cath. Lab for a seven hundred bed hospital. While at the hospital he earned an MBA from the University of South Alabama. Ultimately, he owned and grew a small software development firm into a national company serving the medical/dental billing and clinical records industry. Over three thousand medical/dental clinicians in forty two states utilized software developed by Darryl's employees and business associates.
In 1999 (Y2K) year Darryl flew an air ambulance in Central America for the Wings of Hope. The missions included flying medical evacuation flights in and out of the rain forest in Belize, Quatemala, Honduras, and Mexico.
In 2003, an International Firm from New Zealand approached Darryl about selling his business. After the sale was consummated, Darryl travelled the world for a couple of years as a member of their Board of Directors.
He is now a real estate professional licensed in Florida, Georgia, and Iowa. He believes in learning something new every day. Most recently he returned to his roots in Gainesville, Florida. He loves helping people and businesses alike find the right fit for their real estate needs. As an avid pilot with over 9000 hours of flight time, Darryl knows how to pay attention! Darryl listens! Darryl Tower, MBA
George is a life-long Gainesville resident. After graduating from Gainesville High in 1969 and from Santa Fe College in 1972, he served in the Army Reserves until1978. In1996, George earned a BS in Business from the University of Florida.
George owned Rafferty Research and Development, Inc., a company offering incubation services for inventors and enterpreneurs. The business included design services and a fully operational machine shop. George's creativity and innovation helped bring valuable products to the market place. While at Rafferty research, George helped establish GAIN, (The Gainesville Area Innovation Network) and was fortunate to work with many invertors and their inventions.
Later George worked as a plant manager in the Industrial/manufacturing arena. Producing millions of items a day with rigid quality control standards and using high speed, modern production equipment requires a calm demeanor and strict attention to detail. Managing a high volume production facility taught George the value of Quality Control, Customer Service, Competitive Pricing, and Respect for Clients. George personally worked in office, industrial, and warehousing environments and understands the mantra of "Do it right the first time."
As an avid supporter and board member of The Fisher House Foundation, George supports many efforts to assist veterans and their families. As a past member of the Gainesville JayCees, George is well known in the business community of Gainesville and continues to actively support many charitible causes. He is strong advocate for small business development in Gainesville and has been throughout his career.
His life time knowledge of NE Florida gives him a unique perspective regarding the growth of Gainesville and the surrounding areas.
